MOM wins game

The Coca-Cola U/15 Regional Games saw MOM Sebone Secondary beat Dr Harry Gwala Secondary 2-1.

The games took place at the Malandela sports grounds in Tsakane with many of the local high schools taking part in the activities.

The first half was filled with many disappointments from both teams as the strikers failed to put the ball behind the net.

The growing frustration was evident in the coaches who made sure that they motivated the players as the first half drew to an end.

The second half was action packed with a stunning goal from MOM Sebone that had Harry Gwala’s players shaking in their boots.

Not to be outdone, an equalising goal was scored by Harry Gwala, much to the delight of the crowd who jumped as their hope of winning was once again restored.

With a few minutes to go before the final whistle, MOM Sebone scored a goal that sealed their place in the regional games, which are taking place this weekend in the Vaal.

They will represent the region and play against other schools from other regions in a bid to be chosen for the Eastern Gauteng Regional team.
