Outstanding achievements recognised

“I am so proud of my children. And the teachers have been working so hard to achieve excellence for the school,” says principal Walter Mashego.

The school invited a few of its former learners to encourage the youngsters.

Among the speakers was Tshepho Sibeko, who placed great emphasis how maths and science can open endless doors of opportunities in their prospective careers.

Top learners are Samukelisiwe Thwala for Grade Eight, Sandile Nkosi for Grade 10, Thabo Ranamane in grade 11 and Lerato Tabohane in matric.

Tabohane was overall the best learner in the school, achieving distinctions in Sotho, physical science, life science, English and life orientations.

Each of the learners received a tablet, certificate and medal for their efforts, from the school and its sponsors.

Teachers were also recognised for outstanding results in tourism.

Thobile Mabuza, Tshidi Kmane and Sakhile Tshuma received tablets and certificates.

J E Malepe achieved an overall pass rate of 92,7% in 2016.

The grade 12 class obtained 82 bachelors, 131 diplomas and 17 certificate entrances to further their studies.
