Last Saturday, at about 3.03am a man was allegedly attacked and robbed while he was at a tavern in Extension Three, KwaThema.

According to the police, the man had gone to an outside toilet when he was approached by five suspects.

The suspects threatened him with broken bottles and searched him.

KwaThema police spokesperson, Capt Thabo Sibuyi, says one of the suspects hit the victim with a beer bottle on his head.

“The blow to his head caused the victim to fall to the ground,” he says.

The suspects searched him again and took his cellphone.

No arrests have been made but Kwa Thema police are investigating a case of common robbery.
