SABC head of legal services shot and killed

Fight over a boyfriend led to death

Tsakane – Police are investigating the murder of the SABC head of legal services, Sizwe Vilakazi, who was shot and killed at his liquor depot on Saturday night.

It is alleged three armed men entered the liquor depot and opened fire at the deceased through the counter.

Tsakane police spokesperson, Sargent Lerato Mngomezulu, says nothing was stolen.

“The suspects managed to flee the scene in a blue hatch back Polo Vivo but the registration couldn’t be spotted.

“The motive of the murder is still unknown and no one has been arrested thus far.

“We are requesting the help of the community to help trace the whereabouts of the suspects.

“Sizwe was certified dead by paramedics at the scene,” she says.

Mngomezulu says anyone with information can contact the police on (011) 363- 5300 or information can be reported anonymously at Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or SMS line 32211.

“We are working around the clock to bring the suspects to book,” she says.
